Why did you choose to go to San Juan College?
I have been attending San Juan College off and on since 1997. I received an Associates of Art degree and then transferred to the UNM teachers program where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary 教育. In 2019 I took a slight shift in age groups. I decided to work with young children. I knew I needed to get my associates degree in Early Childhood. I loved attending San Juan College. So here I am back at it.

What did you do to prepare for your career?
Having my associates and bachelor's made my first attempt at the position easy. Then I realized that I loved my job and needed to learn more. I have again shifted positions and I'm in a place where I can help teachers. To truly help I have to underst和更多的 about a child's mind set and how they grow

What advice would you give to future graduates?
Keep going. Reach your dreams. It may be hard at first, but don't get discouraged. Take it a day at a time. It's worth it. Young or older.... It can be done and the staff at San Juan College is always eager to help.

What was your fondest memory at San Juan College?
I was blessed with many fantastic teachers. Some long gone and others I know only through the online learning. I have learned so much from all of them.
